Adrian Sutton is our Managing Director and a current IoD Wales Director of the Year. Adrian is the commercial lead of the business and is vastly experienced in shaping and implementing cloud technologies and innovative business models.
Adrian is a successful executive with 15+ years experience and a background in System Integration, Programme Management, Business Development and delivering tech-enabled business transformation.
In his spare time Adrian enjoys sailing, spending time with his family and travelling in his motor home.
Behzad Heravi is our Director of Technology and Innovation. He leads our product R&D and both the sourcing and implementation of our innovation led technology strategy.
Behzad is an award-winning Computer Scientist highly skilled in product R&D, with a PhD in Communication Systems, MSc in Aerospace Engineering and a BSc in Mechanical Engineering. Behzad was previously a research fellow at UCL and is both passionate and driven by innovation and embracing emerging technologies.
He is a published research author in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Statistical Inference and Signal Processing. Behzad has a long and accomplished history in R&D and has successfully secured several funding awards from Innovate UK.
In his spare time Behzad plays badminton competitively and enjoys snowboarding and camping. He also enjoys watching movies, stand up comedy and political talk shows.
Nick Beckett is our Director of Finance and is an accomplished technologist and leads our Software Development team. He has also led and secured our quality and compliance accreditation's.
Nick is a highly experienced FD having managed and guided a business to 500% growth. Nick has also designed and authored software products himself with a focus and expertise in mobile and field-based resource and asset management. He’s highly experienced in digital strategy and developing technological solutions to increase efficiency and productivity.
Nick enjoys tinkering with new technology, cooking and spending time with family in his spare time.

Sharadha Heads the Technology and Innovation activities of Vortex IoT supporting ideas through all stages from conceptualisation of innovation to product delivery.
He has over 20 years of experience in leading technology research and innovation programmes for academic, commercial and HMG government stakeholders. He has a BEng (Hons), MSc and PhD from Lancaster University, where his PhD on Tactical Radio Systems was funded by the Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (DSTL, UK-MoD).
Sharadha is a Chartered Engineer (CEng-MIET) and a Chartered Manager (CMgr-MCMI); has obtained a Diploma in Leadership and Management from Chartered Management Institute (CMI). He also has completed Managing Successful Programmes (MSP) qualification, certified by the Office of Government Commerce (OGC), UK.
In his spare time, Sharadha enjoys spending time with his family and playing badminton.
Steve leads the Vortex IoT sales team, he is tasked with developing revenues through direct sales and our channel to market partnership network.
He has been a senior international Business Account / Development Director and Sales professional specialising in complex software / hardware solutions (SaaS / PaaS) including end to end IoT platforms and complex video and security solutions. A sustained, demonstrable record of business, pipeline development and revenue growth from Enterprise and tier 1 and 2 customers plus start-ups throughout EMEA through continuous development of new business, existing accounts and channel partners throughout Central and Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa.
In his spare time Steve likes to walk his dogs and go fly fishing.
Adrian heads up our Singapore office and is a Senior Executive with 35 years experience across several industry sectors, providing technology and operational leadership globally.
He is Chartered Engineer (CEng), Chartered IT Practitioner (CITP), a Fellow of the institute of Directors in England, a Fellow of the British Computer Society and a member of its Elite group for Executive Leaders in IT.
Adrian has been board member and CEO of several companies and joint ventures in IT services and business services, with significant experience of mergers and acquisitions (both acquiring and being acquired). He has also headed teams globally, including the UK, Ireland, USA, India, Singapore, Malaysia, Australia, Russia, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Poland.
He is currently a mentor for the National University of Singapore (Lean Launchpad Programme) and a member of the Marketing and Digitalization committees for the Singapore International Chamber of Commerce.
In his spare time Adrian enjoys walking, swimming, going to the theatre and travelling.
Tim is our Senior R&D Engineer, he works on developing ultra low-power wireless mesh network solutions.
Tim studied at Swansea University where he obtained an MPhys degree and subsequently PhD in experimental physics in 2013. He worked on the GBar experiment for a year in CEA Saclay, Paris before returning to Swansea University and creating flexible printed electronic devices on paper and plastic substrates.
During his spare time Tim enjoys climbing, building custom electronics and spending time with his family.
Aidan is one of our R&D Engineers, he is responsible for the development and maintenance of the Vortex Mesh Network, and its connected sensors.
Aidan graduated with a 1st class Hons degree in Sound Technology specialising in electronics and acoustics. He also obtained a master’s degree in computer science at Swansea University.
In his spare time Aidan enjoys running, cycling, building and maintaining motorcycles and spending time with his children at the beach.
Bryce is one of our R&D Engineers, working as part of the hardware design team to make the conceptual ideas physical. He primarily focuses on the mesh system and end-user devices.
Bryce studied Sustainable Engineering BEng Hons at Lancaster University. This involved a successful 3rd-year project in moisture sensing with the IoT.
Bryce spends his free time designing and building UAVs and autonomous RC cars. Bryce also enjoys mounting biking and spending time at the beach when the sun is out swimming and kayaking.
David is one of our Software Engineers, contributing to the further development of Vortex IoT's innovative and Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) technologies. He has also taken a lead in data visualisation.
David graduated from Swansea University this year, with a Masters degree in Computing; primarily focussed on Java and Android development.
In his spare time David enjoys watching football and playing 5 a side football every week. He also enjoys going for walks and loves Costa!
Seham is one of our Software Engineers, she is responsible for the development of Vortex IoT’s embedded software technologies.
Seham enjoys spending time with family and doing online courses with Plurasight in her spare time.
Rhys is a Graduate Software Engineer here at Vortex IoT. He is currently focused on the back end development of our innovative Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) solutions.
He graduated from Cardiff University this year with a First Class Bachelors degree in Computer Science. He specialises in IoT devices.
Beyond playing video games, Rhys enjoys creating costumes from popular fiction. He attends conventions across the world whilst wearing these handmade outfits, he recently flew to California for an event in San Jose.
Tomasz is a Junior Software Engineer here at Vortex IoT. He currently is working on the front end of our data visualuisation.
Tomasz is a first year student at Swansea University, studying Software Engineering.
In his spare time Tomasz likes to attend programming meet ups, keep fit and play volleyball.
Chloe is our Digital Marketing Assistant, she controls Vortex IoT’s social media accounts and produces marketing material and research.
Chloe is currently studying Business Management at Swansea University. As part of her course, Chloe has studied various marketing modules. She is on a placement year at Vortex IoT and will graduate in Summer 2020.
In her spare time, Chloe likes to keep fit, attend music events and enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
At Vortex IoT Scott is our Sales Team Representative, he assists with sales and marketing activities.
Scott is about to start his 2nd year of University studying Business Management at Cardiff Metropolitan. He is doing a summer internship at Vortex IoT and will continue to work with us alongside his degree.
Scott likes playing rugby and going to the gym in his spare time. He also enjoys going skiing.
Rytis is one of our R&D Engineering Assistants, he assists specifically with our CAD and manufacturing, he also gets involved in electronic design.
Rytis is a second year Aerospace Engineering student at Swansea University, he is also the Director Of Operations at Swansea University Race Engineering team.
In his spare time he likes to repair mechanical watches and design various items in CAD. He also likes to spend time with friends and cook.
Mohamed is one of our R&D Engineering Assistants, he assists with our rapid prototyping and device assembly in our R&D laboratory.
He has just graduated from Swansea University with a BEng in Aerospace Engineering specialising in space science and technology. Mohamed is going to pursue a Masters in Space Engineering at Surrey University.
In his spare time Mohamed likes to play football, go to the gym, volunteer for charity events and spend quality time with family and friends.
Rhys is one of our R&D Engineering Assistants, he assists with data analysis and technical documentation.
Rhys is a second-year Materials Engineering Student at Swansea University. He will continue to work alongside his degree, and hopes to achieve his masters in 2021.
In his spare time he likes to play American football, row and go to the gym. He also enjoys spending time with family and friends.
John is a commercial strategist with 20 years’ experience of working within the regulated and non-regulated water industry both in the UK and abroad. He has advised on business start-ups, mergers & acquisitions and developing strategy towards market reform and has been a non-executive and executive member of several boards. John also has extensive experience of evaluating new products and services, as well as evaluating the commercialisation options for existing business units in wholesale businesses. He is currently an alternate Independent Member of the Code Panel for Open Water that considers and made recommendations to Ofwat on the codes that support the non-household water retail market.
He is a chartered Environmentalist (CEnv) and a member of the Chartered Institute of Water and Environmental Management (CIWEM) and is the current president for the South West Area of the Institute of Water. In his spare time John enjoys walking, spending time with the family and driving his classic Triumph TR5 which he says is in better nick then him.
